IanN would like to check in OSX cross compile config changes.comm-central Windows x86 is still build with VS2015. Firefox switched to VS0217 15.4.2 and SDK 9 for Nightly release builds.mozilla-central will be at 59 and comm-central at 2.56 tomorrow.Monday after the meeting the comm-trees and also the remaining mozilla trees will merge. The trees were not in sync with the comm-trees for 2 weeks. Firefox merged mozilla-beta and mozilla-release early.Do not expect to use the 2.54 release yet other than for brief testing.Do not expect to use the 2.55 release yet other than for brief testing.OSX64: *busted* Due to mercurial issues.Problems with Mercurial bug 13689803 make check orange w/ hg unknown command "files".bug 1295826 tracks the fixes for the Testing Infrastructure. Tests have been re-enabled to enable us to find out what's busting them.Windows building is done on the loaner.Linu圆4 build: bug 1275218 is still open but Linux is building most of the time.Linu圆4 Nightly: bug 1275215 is still open but Linux is building most of the time.Status of the SeaMonkey Buildbot Master and Tree At the current stage not pussible to say if we can benefit from this in the future. ewong has created a jumphost on aws and is working on the master.MoCo will provide it initially free of charge. ewong is requesting a mac mini on macstadium in bug 1414114.Thunderbird stuff is moving, because its integrated with firefox-relengy-stuff but TB also has a migration plan off MoCo infrastructure. The SeaMonkey builders will likely be decommissioned/scrapped and not moved to MoCos new data center.Only vital components (for Firefox) will be moved to the new MoCo data center. We have 12 linu圆4 systems, 7 win32 systems (1 dead), 4 OSX64 systems (3 dead). The current infrastructure will be replaced in Q3/2018 and is already failing. We need to start with a static setup and expand as necessary.Costs and if we should do an initial 1 yor 3 year setup are still evaluated.A Puppet system for setup and configuration is under evaluation. We need a jumphost, a buildmaster, a Windows and a Linux slave. For a possible new infrastructure OSX builders would only be needed for tests. This will be done as soon as possible for comm-central. Cross compiling macOS builds is now possible for Firefox under Linux.ewong is evaluating the cost and specs for an aws based build system. For the previous discussions see the last status meetings.Discussions and planning about the future of SeaMonkey and if we should set up own builders are still going on. TODO: Add Adrian Kalla to RelEng team.IanN will look into a website update now that the project areas were updated. New council members frg, rsx11m and ewong were already appointed a few weeks ago.He is now on the first extension debugQA for bug 1231349. frg tries to make l10n working in bug 1405407.Unclear what this means for comm-central and the current l10n build configs. Upcoming l10n changes to the build system which need to be monitored.RDF templates might no longer be build by default in bug 1362426.several nsIDOM removal bugs are in the process of being fixed.Mozilla is currently removing older apis left, right and in the middle. Probably a few things need to be fixed in the coming weeks to get SeaMonkey 2.54 working nicely. We might be able to extend support for the 2.49 ESR line if true. SUSE might port security bugs to 2.49 after formal support ends. The last time this was done more devs were available. IanN thinks it might be a too huge task.Reason is that porting bugs gets harder very day and web extensions plus e10s supports needs to be added in the near future. This means taking most parts of browser and put the old ui and mail integration on top. frg suggests aligning the source with Fx after 2.56ESR.We should assign people to the open items. (who needs to do what that hasn't been recorded in a bug) ewong for getting the 2.49.1 release out the door.Who's taking minutes? -> not ewong but frg.1.7 Roundtable - Personal Status Updates.1.4 Extensions and Plugins Compatibility Tracking.
